Performance
The Subaru Outback makes two engines available: a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 2.4-liter 4-cylindrer turbocharged engine. The base 2.5-liter 4-cyldiner offers up 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque while the turbocharged iteration manages 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Both engines work with a CVT (continuously variable transmission). All-wheel drive comes standard with all trim levels.
Technology
Tech features abound with the new Outback. The Base trim of the Outback comes with dual 7-inch touchscreens, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity. Moving to the Premium trim allows for increased technology to be added. The Premium trim gains an 11.6-inch touchscreen display and wireless smartphone connectivity. The Limited trim adds a Harman Kardon audio system while making a navigation system optional.
Interior Features
Interior features range greatly, with the Base trim offering Brewster, NY drivers cloth-trimmed seats and a roomy rear cargo storage area. The Premium trim adds dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats while the Limited trim adds leather upholstery. The Touring trim gains ventilated front seats and improved leather upholstery. The Wilderness trim comes with copper trim accents and water repellent leather upholstery.
